Resident’s Car Shot Repeatedly

   A vehicle belonging to a West Point resident was shot repeatedly overnight Friday, resulting in considerable damage.

   Deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department were summoned to a home on Pondfield Drive around 11:40 Saturday morning. The victim indicated that someone had repeatedly shot his 1994 Buick Park Avenue.

   Deputies noted at least twelve bullet holes in the vehicle. They report that the culprit had shot the windshield, right front fender and front bumper.

In addition, deputies indicate that some of the bullets had grazed the hood before striking the windshield, resulting in additional damage.

   Damages were estimated to total $1,150. The case remains under investigation.
